I've never been a cat person but then the past 20 or so years that attitude has changed. I guess because my Father despised cats and ingrained in us how awful, nasty and useless cats were we followed his lead...Any now over the years I've had several cats.
I started out with Barn cats, very useful animals and definitely needed when you have livestock and a barn full of hay and grain. Then with circumstances beyond my control I ended up with a Siamese kitten who ended up in the house full time. She was great. Stayed off the counters, used her litter box and pretty much left me alone and was a complete and total witch to anyone else. Ahh my idea cat, she had cattitude and I loved it. She passed away at the age of 16 or so and I thought well that's it, no more cats in the house.
Then KitCat came along. He actually found us (Michael and I) out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, as a half-starved kitten in need of a home. KitCat is a needy cat, he likes to be loved and petted, ugh! Due to an outside dog that hated cats KitCat came to be in the house. Michael said it was his cat. After the cat-killing dog went bye-bye Kit wanted outside here and there so we let him in and out. Michael loves Kit but Kit is annoying. Always in your face, not my kind of cat! Michael no longer wants Kit and Grandma/my Mom has now claimed him as her cat (wish she'd take him home with her). But Grandma only comes to visit every once in awhile so in the mean time Kit drives us all crazy with his Love...
Then along came Lydia. Lydia was suppose to be a barn cat. She was suppose to replace Ralph our aging barn cat. She was suppose to stay outside...She doesn't! She comes and goes in the house, she rules the roost, she has cattitude! I love Lydia! She does not like to be petted except when she allows it! She's fairly well behaved and hilariously entertaining. She loves to bite toes, especially toes that are moving under blankets! She sleeps with me at night but not on the sheets and not too close either...
Lydia hates KitCat and the feeling is mutual, KitCat hates Lydia...She terrorizes him, she won't let him have a moments peace and he is NOT allowed in the bedroom or even on the bed when she is in the house! She won't allow it, lol.
~
But KitCat did find a chair in the computer/craft room where he can relax and chill...a very comfy chair too!~
And he can sleep to his hearts content...without pesky Lydia bothering him. Lydia seldom goes in the computer/craft room so he's safe for the moment. ~
As for Lydia she's in the living room spazzing out over a fountain drink with ice in it, lol

What is that AWFUL racket!! Ekkk!!

Pretty cats! Most of my life I have had at least one cat. I love cats but not the ones who climb the screens. My Susie is very well behaved but she is getting old. I have said after she is gone thats all but you know how they have a way of adopting you and you don't have much say. lol
I love cats too but I love dogs more...I've never been lucky enough to be able to keep both without friction so no cats around the household.
