We had a busy spring break. After getting home from a Hill Country vacation Michael and I took Grandma back home to her house in Michigan. We drove her car and on the way spent a couple of days in Peducah Kentucky, as Mom is a quilter. She loved it. They have the national quilt museum, which was out of this world and then they had a Hancock's warehouse. The Hancock warehouse was enormous. I was stunned when we walked in there bolt after bolt of fabric. Mom didn't even make it all the way through...Who knew things like that existed??
Peducah is located where the Ohio River meets the Mississippi river. They have built flood barriers and on the flood barriers are murals. The murals were beautiful and told the history of the area, so neat!

Town was not hopping as it was cold and windy but I can imagine in the summer it's a pretty busy place...

Michael and I checked out the River Discovery Center. He was able to drive a simulator that handled a speedboat, coast guard cutter and a tugboat...

It wasn't a place I'd normally stop to check out but so glad Mom wanted to as it was pretty interesting.
