San Antonio and Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch

Howdy! We made it to San Antonio and had a wonderful day! The rain stopped and it was gorgeous! I'm going to blow you away with photos. I was going to put some up on Flickr later but here is the majority of them. It seems the hotel has super fast wifi and I'm loving it....beats broad-band.

Country boy was enjoying the city...actually driving me crazy as he had to check everything out....

San Antonio Casino Club building and sign....

More than likely trying to call a cab, ha ha ha...or possibly waiting for the bus....NOT....we were walking and Michael was chattering non-stop!

Grammy and Michael at one of the bridges on the river-walk. Tomorrow we are going to explore the river walk further...Yippee!!

Downtown near Navarro St.

We went to the Childrens Museum which I found out about on Sarah's blog and Michael had an absolute blast! We couldn't get him to leave the jet liner and then every time we did he would head straight back to it!
If you'd like to visit Sarah's blog and learn more about different places to visit click here...

The ball machine was a big HIT!!

Michael milking a cow....

Grammy remembering old times and trying to see if she still knows how to milk cow...

The grocery store for kids...it was too cute.

We then headed over to our Resort...AWESOME!!
Michael and I in the Pool!

Michael shooting the water canon at Momma...ha ha ha!

A Part of the indoor pool area...Michael and I were just stunned at how big and beautiful it was...definitely a resort for kids!

The indoor water-slide....Michael was an inch to short for it but Momma got to try it twice, sheesh....That thing was fast and I screamed like a wuss the whole way down :o)

My little fish!

What a day...we are all exhausted!!
And NO Michael is NOT sleeping with us, he has his own bed!!
Night All....

Michael is fascinated with his height. Always
asking me to check to see how tall he has
grown. On January 13, 2010 I measured him
once again. I was shocked! Since August 2009
he has grown 1.25 inches, Wow! He is now 47
inches tall. We keep track of it on the door jam
and it’s so much fun to look back to see how
tall he has grown since we moved into this house.

Michael got a book out of the library. It had an experiment on how to change the colors of flowers. After trying red and green for Christmas colors and not having much luck. He switched to blue and Wow, they were gorgeous.

YeeHaw....

I'm here, lol....Sorry about that little blog silence, just been a bit preoccupied...We went out to Mom and Dad's ranch this past Sunday and I was able to get a few photos...

Dad's managed to trap a few wild hogs...

Michael with his Grandpa.

Oh how I love this boy!! Even when he's playing in the dirt!

Ruby Crowned Kinglet.
This little guy was all over the place and not afraid of Michael playing either...

I just love this view...trees, trees, trees!

My Mother and Fred checking out the hogs.

Frankie (Fred's brother) and normally the guy hiding from the camera with a hand in front of his face...Now look at that beautiful smile! He needs to show it to us more often!!

Dad with Fred and Frankie.
I love photos of the guys!

and back at our place....
the cows, calves and bull enjoying the beautiful day!

Do you remember the doe with the twin fawns? I took their photo last year when the fawns were little and had spots and here they are, and the fawns are all grown up! They aren't too afraid of the truck either.

Fred and I drove down to the creek to scope things out...There's water in it, Yea!! After today there will be a lot more water in it too...The weather people are telling us to expect flooding for the next few days, ARGH!! We had a few days of sunshine and hopefully after this next wet spell we get some more sunshiny days...If not I'm afraid Grammy may just give up and head back North...Definitely not a good winter in South Texas.
~
We're headed to San Antonio for the weekend so expect some interesting photos next week...and I do have some on the camera to show y'all and hopefully I'll be able to work on those tomorrow!!
