He's my boy!

"Just you and me Mom under the stars....
and Jake and Lydia and Ralph and Julie...did you hear that Mom?"
~
I bought a fire pit today and tonight we sat under the stars eating popcorn and roasting marshmallows. It was pretty nice, I love spending time outside with my boy!
When I tucked him in tonight I told him "Thank you for sitting outside with me tonight"...Michael told me, "I'll sit outside with you every night Mom" :o)
I Love Him!

Photos here and there...

I have been taking a few photos here and there the past week...

Cow Pen Daisy's along the fence row...

Grrr....I remember why I got rid of my chickens 18 yrs ago!

How much more there is...

~
"How much more there is now to living! Instead of our drab slogging forth and back to the fishing boats, there’s reason to life! We can lift ourselves out of ignorance, we can find ourselves as creatures of excellence and intelligence and skill. We can be free! We can learn to fly!"
~Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach~
~
I took this photo in Port Comfort Texas last Friday and I immediately thought of the book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" when I saw the photo. My Mother had it in our book shelf when I was growing up and I remember it to this day. I know I was young when I found it and I don't remember if I read the whole book but it's always stuck in my memory...I think it's time to re-read it and maybe understand it a bit better!

Scary Clown from Halloween 2009...

Scrapping with Liz had another free template and challenge this week...Take a Summer template and turn it into an autumn themed layout...Well since here in South Texas we really don't have autumn per-say I went with Halloween photos from last year!
Thanks Liz, I had fun!

Every visit...

Dawn and I have a photo taken together....

(Dawn left me this quote today)
~
We are only friends because
God knew that if we were sisters our mom wouldn't be able to handle us!
~

Working, Working and more Work!

Sunday morning Fred had to fix the yard fence...I helped and Dawn took photos!

I'm thrilled, really thrilled! Can you tell?

Trying to get an old post out that had been cemented in, ugh!

Jake is the supervisor...making sure we do it right :o)

Yikes!! Time for me to get off the tractor and Fred is going to try! It didn't work!
~
A typical day in our lives, thanks Dawn! Just loving having someone around who loves taking people photos, lol...

A different Photographer and a different view...

I took these photos off of Dawns Camera...They're from our fishing trip and Dawn gets all the credit :o)

Since I didn't take the photos and don't have a clue what Dawn sees in each photo I am not commenting for her...They're great photos, thanks Dawn!

Olivia Texas - Salt Water fishing...

(Sorry it's been a wee bit since I've posted, been busy!)
This past Friday my Friend, Dawn, and her daughter, Dacey came for a visit. Fred had signed us up for a fishing tournament Saturday. So Saturday morning we were up at 4:30am and off to fish...We went to Olivia Texas on Port Lavaca Bay. When we arrived the fish were biting and I got the kids poles ready to go and baited...

Michael caught a Sea Trout.

Dacey caught a redfish.
The kids were so excited and I was so envious :o)

Gorgeous sunrise!
I love getting up early and seeing this...

Dacey her first time in a Kayak.

Fred and Dacey.
I'm honestly not sure why Fred waited but he didn't head out to fish until way after sunrise. He never got a bite...sure wish he'd gone out when we got there! The fish were biting as Michael and Dacey proved to us...

Dacey and Michael in the Kayaks...

My Boy...
He sure loves my Kayak too!

I caught a Blue crab...little darl'in.

Fred way over in the grass beds!
~
Dawn caught a baby drum, I caught a croaker and we all skunked Fred, lol. Wish I'd caught a red or a trout but was busy baiting hooks, fixing lines and taking photos! There is always next time, it was a beautiful spot!
