It's Christmas Time...

~

Journaling reads:
Michael and Ashley are so excited about Christmas. They can’t help but run. I wonder did the shepherds run too when they heard about the saviors birth? It’s Christmas time and there is excitement in the air!

Wonder...

~

Journaling reads:
Michael and I recently visited Hobby Lobby and he found a bead kit for candy cane ornaments. After I studied it for a few moments I told him yes! He was so excited. So later that night we sat down to assemble some candy cane bead ornaments. He did a great job and we had a lot of fun. I love being able to spend time doing something crafty with him. Quality fun time with my son over the Holidays is something I will remember for always and I hope he does too!

I just love Jen's new Christmas kit and above is a layout I created using her new items.

Stoltz fountain

A view of the flooded Guadalupe River from the Rose gardens.
I'm not fond of roses, I think they are too high maintenance but I do enjoy their beauty and taking photos of them. Michael was with me and was very patient for a 6 yr old. He enjoyed the fountain and going around showing me the different roses. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed spending the day outside and soaking up the sunshine!
~
I did the best I could to identify the roses, lol, I read the posted signs! Some of the roses were not labeled and that is why I did not post names for those photos.

Thanksgiving preperations...

It's late as I do this post and the clock just turned over to midnight for us so it is officially Thanksgiving here. Michael and I worked on some Turkey cupcakes for our Thanksgiving dinner. It took most of the afternoon and not sure if I'll attempt that again, lol...It was time consuming! Michael enjoyed it for a bit then got tired of putting them together and being a boy wanted to eat them, ekk...

Not as cute as pictured on Family fun but it's the thought that counts!

And here's the eggs...I'm making deviled eggs to take to Fred's sisters house tomorrow and I'm so proud of these eggs! Aren't they gorgeous? Our hens are all laying and we get 4 eggs a day now! I just love seeing these beautiful fresh eggs!
~
I actually had more photos to post but it seems the photos are on the other computer and it's late...so maybe tomorrow I'll post them.
I hope y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Count your blessings and be thankful for all that you have :o)

Team work

Michael and I were in Hobby Lobby the other day and he found a Candy Cane ornament bead kit. He asked if we could make them and I gave him the okay...I am so loving my boy! He's finally at the age where it is fun to sit and do crafty things with him. I asked Fred if he could take a few photos...

Michael "Mom we make a good Team".

Arrrgh!

Silly face!

Team work!

The finished product, just need to add the ribbons for hanging! It was a great kit and we made 18 ornaments with it, Wow! Michael and I had fun and accomplished a few Christmas gifts in the process! I so love having him home this week for Thanksgiving break!

What do I see?

Through the lens of my camera...A boy with a Sparkle in his eye!
These are the photos I took the other day with Michael. We had so much fun and he had me laughing so hard...I kept telling him don't look at the camera look outside at the bird feeder...well then I'd get this goofy look and we'd both start laughing...and then he'd put his eyeball right up to the lens of the camera and we'd start giggling all over again!

I love everything about you...

The other day I asked Michael if we could take some photos and he agreed...Up to the point (photo) above...Then he got this devilish look and I couldn't help but laugh...It was my sign the photo session was over!!
I did manage to get some great photos and I love them! Now I'm not sure what I want to do with them, lol. The digital layout I had in mind just won't do these photos justice...sigh! Back to the drawing board!

A beautiful day...

Michael being silly!
He was shooting bb's at this can with help from Grandpocka!

Hmmm...How many bb's are in the can?

Playing with a Roley poly (sow beetle)

Grandpocka takes a turn!

Me with Mom.
I'm always the one with the camera so today I handed it over to Dad and said take our photo! He did a good job! Especially for not looking through the eye piece and just pointing it at us, LOL...

Fred with his Mom. Love those smiles!
I think it looks like some hair cuts might be in order too :o)

Michael acting silly...
He was running at me and I told him to slow down and this was the pose I got, oh how I love my boy!

San Antonio River in Goliad and flooding!!

After we got home Michael took Jake for a walk!
It was a beautiful day!

Fog in the morning...

Julie out in the pasture.

Uh Oh! Deer in the road!

Mom's sweet smelling pink roses.

~
The spider webs were gorgeous with water droplets and the sun breaking through the fog.

Roses leaves

Grass with water droplets catching the sunshine!

and another one...
I was having fun going from one web to another trying to catch the beauty of the suns rays and water droplets...Dad came over at one point and asked what I was doing? (me=chuckling)...He said where's the bug? I told him no bugs just the spider webs and water droplets, he laughed and said okay! He already thinks I'm a fruitcake now I am sure I just confirmed it!!
