Morning walk...

It was gorgeous outside this morning and first thing I saw, this cool cloud formation. I think they are altocumulus clouds...very pretty!

Then I decided to go for a walk...
The deer were out...I was laughing at this little yearling peaking at me above the brush!

 And very curious does...

 Just watching me...

Lydia joined me on my walk as always!

Then this doe started walking up to me...she's definitely pregnant!

getting a bit too close so I moved and she started stomping...Stomping to warn the others and to try and scare me off...She finally moved off.

The doe population has exploded...there is another group to the right too!

Once I moved off into the Oak trees this doe sat and watched me for 15 minutes, her yearling fawn is to the right of her...

Don't forget your tail silly squirrel...I spotted his tail first!

Ralph our barn cat went with us...It's hard to believe he's 8.5 years and still going! He's had a rough life! He normally doesn't go for walks with us but for some reason he did this morning and he kept Lydia in line too, lol...He tolerates Lydia and her shenanigans but that is about it!

 Mockingbird...

 Kingbird

 Cardinal

 Hermit Thrush

 Mourning dove

This little warbler has a deformed bottom beak...

But still manages to eat and live, awesome!

 Yellow-rumped Warbler

 Titmouse

Lydia watching me through the grass...

And when I got back to the house there were two goldfinches fighting in mid-air. I was snapping away and managed to catch them when they broke apart...too cool.

So glad it was a gorgeous day and I was able to get out for a bit!!

Michael's photos of his class fieldtrip to the Wetlands

Michael's class took a trip to the wetlands today and I let him take my Olympus (tough) point and shoot camera...

Conducting experiments with different soil types.

Wow that is a lot of alligators!

Michael was excited about this photo...Mom he was really really close to me!

Cool Photo Michael!

American coot...he knows his Momma and tried his best to get photos of the birds for me!

 Wetlands with more birds

Alligator just slipped under the water!

He had a lot of fun and I'm so glad I let him take the camera! I enjoyed looking at his photos and videos...

Good Morning Sunshine!

Thank you Lord for a glorious day...

(20 minutes later)

10 minute photo session...

This morning I was suppose to be doing something else but got distracted several times...One of those times I looked out and saw the Blue sky and the beautiful cirrus clouds of course I had to grab the camera!
~

This evening it was gorgeous out but I had to make dinner and didn't have time to go for a walk, finally after dinner and dishes I had about 10 minutes before I lost the light...

I caught Julie with her green lips, lol...She loves her alfalfa cubes!

I love when the evening sun hits the neighbors windmill...

She can see me but she can't smell me and she can't quiet figure out what I am...

My sweet girl...She's 26 years old this year!

Yes I was shown the flag...The flag of the white-tail deer!

Fred doesn't belong in the kitchen...

Last night I made chili for dinner. Fred likes shredded cheese on his chili and I forgot. I heard him in the kitchen cussing while getting his chili and finally got up to see what his problem was...He said the cheese shredder wasn't working! I was a bit confused and I looked over his shoulder to see what he was doing...ROFLMBO...Honey you need to turn the shredder over and then it might work!! It doesn't shred on the back side...I've never seen his face turn red but it did then...he was a wee bit embarassed, duh!! Gotta love my husband and his kitchen abilities!!

And his Mother says he can cook, Ha ha ha!!

Blowing off steam....

We were having homework saga evening/night...where the homework just seems to go on and on, where Michael can't concentrate, where he is constantly getting distracted, where he drives me NUTS!! I needed a walk and some photo therapy so I left and told him I would be back in 15 minutes. He told me to take an hour and I told him No I don't think so, 15 minutes and you better be doing your homework while I'm gone!!!

Green Green Grass is growing!

I thought I got away from the house without my walking partner but obviously Not! I do enjoy walking with her as she stays right by my side and is also on the lookout for things. She doesn't chase the deer either!

Common ground black beetle, they were out and about and seemed to be very busy!

 ~

Yellow-bellied sapsucker...very well camouflaged too!

Dying Old Oak Tree...

~

I see a lot of white flags on my walks...danger, danger!! Run, Run!!

I spotted her but she is also well camouflaged too!

I cleaned the flower beds out last week but didn't have the heart to pull up this Cow-pen daisy...Little bugger survived the winter!

Carolina Jasmine is starting to bloom too, the bees will be very happy!

I felt better after my walk and Michael continued to do homework until 7:45pm, ugh!! It's been a rough night but he got his homework finished, yes!
