My Morning...

Was spent with a child that I love with all my heart!! Sometimes he makes me laugh and that's a good start to a wonderful day!
Looks like it's going to be a wet day...an area near us got 11 inches of rain last night...It just started here at 7am and I'm hoping we get some rain but not that much :o)
Y'all have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

New Beginnings...

~

~New beginnings~
Valerie and John came home to Texas for Easter. It was so good to see them and spend some time with them. They’re expecting their first child in July, Gabriel, and we are all excited for them. Diana had a baby shower for Valerie. For being fairly new to the family Valerie handled herself well and was the life of the party. Valerie and John are going to make wonderful parents. I am sure we will have lots of laughs as they are both fairly naive when it comes to babies.

Portraits of Amy...

Our Niece, Amy, is graduating in a year. She wants me to take her Senior photos, ekkk...As most of you know people/portraits are NOT my strong point...I asked her at Easter if we could do some practice shots this year while the wildflowers were blooming and this is what we came up with...not to bad for an amateur :o)

Sorry Amy I had to show your silly side!
~
We had fun and got some great photos and lots of photos...She's going to decide what ones she'd like and then I'll do the rest of the work...Since she's a beautiful young lady (sheesh she's grown and I feel old) we are going to try photo ops in other areas too...When I told her Dad I wanted to try some shots of her in town with graffiti covered walls he gave me the look, lol...But it's so nice having a willing subject and she's so great at posing and has a great sense of humor!
~
Thanks Amy for today I had fun!

Horsey photos

Our niece, Amy, wanted some photos taken of herself on Julie...well a horse and Julie was our best bet. We had one problem I hadn't worked or rode Julie in over 8 months, ekkk...She was feeling a wee bit frisky!

Love this photo!
I need to re-edit it though. Because Julie was feeling frisky Fred hid behind (kind of sort of) Julie while I took photos. I ended up taking him out of the photo but it's a wee bit blurry where he was, so I want to re-do it, but you get the idea...and Amy looks fantastic!

Different angle and no Fred or blurry edges, lol...

Then Michael wanted a turn...got both my boys with Julie and in the wildflowers too...sweet!

Michael is beaming from ear to ear....
Then not to long after this photo...I was leading Julie, with Michael on her, back to the house...She started bucking, ekk...Before I could do anything Michael was sliding off her but managed to land on his feet, Yeah! He's learning and I'm so proud of him. Way to go little cowboy! He was a wee bit scared but I immediately grabbed him and put him back up on Julie and we finished our walk/ride to the house! No worries!

Then I grabbed the saddle and decided Ms. Julie needed some work...Not sure who got the work out though, her or me. Michael had grabbed the powershot and was taking photos...For Julie being 23 yrs old in May of this year she sure has lots of spunk and can buck fairly well too...I don't mind bunny hops but hate it when she bucks, little darl'in!
~
We all survived and I have tons and tons of photos from Mom and Dad's ranch...lots of wildflowers, people, etc...plus still need to do Easter photos too, ekk...Stay tuned!
