3...2...1...Blast Off!!

I bought a Rocket kit at the beginning of summer for us to do with Michael...I remember doing them in middle school and knew Michael would love it! Fred had never done one and he was looking forward to trying it out too...So this morning I pulled the kit out and we got busy!

I kind of cheated and bought a full kit where the rocket was pretty much done, you just had to put everything together...Much easier than painting and sanding!

 3...2...1...Blast off!!

Mom!! Mom!! Look at how high it went!! Wow that was so cool!!!

 Recovery...

 Recovery was a success!!

He was so happy and so excited!!

Repacking and Reloading for another launch!

This time Fred let Michael get it ready!!

Fire!!! Houston we have lift off!!

And slowly drifting back to earth and right on top of me, ekk!!

What an exciting morning and what a wonderful memory!!

Michael knows how to do it himself now and I have a feeling I'll be seeing more launches and I'm sure as he gets older, bigger and better rockets too!! Watch out NASA!!

Just one...

Instead of boring y'all to death with a whole bunch of hummingbird photos that I took tonight while Michael was swimming in the pool, I'm going to share my favorite one!

He was a little bully but a pretty little bully!!

By dawns early light...

Tuesday morning I sat outside and watched the does and fawns. There were 2 sets of twin fawns and 1 single. Most of them have lost their spots but a few still had some faint spots showing...

Growing up but still so cute!

Always check both ways before crossing a road...

This one still has some spots!

Have I said lately I'm a country girl and I love it!

Playing around...

Last Weds I tore my foot up again, don't ask how, but I really need to take it easy so this foot will heal. I decided to stay off it for a couple of weeks and see if that would help it. I'm hoping this will help it heal. But by this past Sunday I was going stir crazy...So in the evening I grabbed two chairs and sat out in the yard with my foot up and just took photos of what I saw...I used the 300mm lens.

When I went to edit the photos I decided to apply overlays to some of them, another words I was playing around in photoshop too, much safer than running around the yard, lol...

The one and only calf born this year to my landlords cows...she's a cutie!

Me and this Bull just don't like each other...My special name for him starts with an A and ends with an E...He sure does take pretty pictures at times though...and I do like it when he's lying down and not playing hook'em with the vehicles or pawing and snorting at me...

We had a storm come in from the West and then go South of us...

 The clouds were pretty...

 Cow Pen Daisies...

 Little fluffed up Hummingbird

Lydia came over and sat with me...She also loves to watch the hummingbirds. Not sure the hummingbirds care for her though!

Mexican Fire bush bloom, the hummingbirds love them.

I was sitting about 5ft from the hummingbird feeders and enjoying the show.

Another little one all fluffed up...

 Storm clouds to the South...

 The hummingbirds were busy...

I was attempting to catch some hummingbirds in mid-flight, not an easy task.

They are so quick and don't stay still.

 Loved this photo...

 Mexican Fire bush...

Love getting up close and personal with the hummingbirds.

 feeding on the go...

Loved the focus here...

I really enjoyed myself even though I kept getting interrupted by 2 dogs, a boy, the cats, the horse and my husband...

We did receive a little rain late last Friday early Saturday morning and total rain count was 1.5 inches. We could use more but some is better than none!
