I don't normally brag about my son...Yes I love him and Yes I am VERY proud of him but I don't like to rub things in...as far as I'm concerned I think God blessed me and I like to leave it at that...But tonight I was bursting with Pride and I was so Proud of my Boy! and Yes I am going to BRAG!!
To start at the beginning...Michael is/was left handed. Before he started school he used his left hand for everything. He never liked to color or draw because it was frustrating for him, he had a really hard time being left handed. I never tried to change him or force him to write or do things right handed, he'd always used his left hand from the time he was a baby. When he started school his Kinder teacher and I discussed him being left-handed and she said she would let him write with whatever hand he was comfortable with, that turned out to be his right hand. So he started using his right hand to write with. He had a really tough time and his hand writing was barely legible. I'd cringe every time I saw it...If he had to write something for homework it was a fight, he hates writing...~
Tonight he sat down to do his homework...(writing his spelling words 4 times each). I cringed when he told me. I knew there was going to be a fight...But he surprised me...He sat down and quietly started writing...(well after a few minutes of stalling, but not bad). He was telling me how he was going to do a really good job on his spelling words tonight...and I sat quietly and watched...I was SHOCKED! He was actually taking the time to do a GREAT job! WOW!
I grabbed the camera and told him I had to get photos...I told him what a terrific job he was doing...I praised him up and down...We exchanged hugs...we danced, we sang...(well we didn't actually dance and sing but I felt like it :o)
