I wasn't too pleased with my photos this evening. I think sometimes I'm my own worst critic...I also think there are times I should leave my camera at home!!

 

 

 

He's a bully and was keeping the other hummers away from the feeder.

Morning chow call...

 

The Landlord fed the deer, he loved his deer and knew them all. Now the braver ones have started coming over when I feed Julie in the mornings and eating with her.

 

 

This is Split ear, she's the bravest one of the deer herd and comes right up while I'm still standing there. She's cautious but not afraid...I'm pretty sure she's been fed since she was a young fawn.

 

Mmm mmm good, horse feed is delicious!

 

 

Of course she has to share with the chickens!

 

Another doe and fawn came up...

 

They weren't interested in the feed but headed right to the water tank. The fawns eyes were puffy and swollen and I'm sure it's from getting scratched by weeds while eating.

 

 This is Split ear with her Twin brother Silver. I am sure my Landlord has fed them since they were fawns.

 

 



Split ear, you can see why I call her that. She has twin fawns this year but they are still skittish and don't come up to eat with their Mother.

Dawn, Donna and Trey arrive for the week...

Michael, Colby and I arrived home from Houston on Monday and Dawn, Donna and Trey arrived Monday evening for the week...

 

We had a little pool time here and there...

 

Trey was having a blast. This is the first time he's come to visit without his sister so he had some one on one time with his Mom and us.

We went over to Port Aransas for a couple of days, beach time!

I love Dawn and I'm so glad she came for a visit, sheesh I miss her!

Then we headed over to the inter-coastal channel, boys are off to play

We watched the car ferries and lots and lots of dolphins. The dolphins were so close to the boardwalk you could hear them breath when they came up for air. It was a beautiful night.

 

The next morning I got up for the sunrise at the beach. I couldn't get anyone to join me, lol.

 

I love the sunrises, beautiful!

 

 We did a little shopping later on before heading home

 On the car ferry headed home...

 

We had a great time and I so miss them!
