I received an email today from a family member with a photo of my cousin Tommy who is serving in Iraq right now...

Hello to All :)

Hope all is going well? Attached is a photo from Iraq. This is the Ziggarat Temple which is the oldest known civilization to man kind. I have a picture from the top of it where Abraham was born and his house is near the base........pretty cool stuff!

All is going well. I hear the weather has cooled off a bit.

The temp is still staying steady in the mid 120's right now.

I am very anxious to see everyone when I get home!

Ahh what are you doing?

Here I sit email chatting to Helen about O'scraps and how I just uploaded my first layout challenge to the O'scraps gallery and designer spotlight when I hear quiet a LOUD racket from the kitchen...Fred has gone to bed and since Michael and I had a late nap we'll both be up for awhile...I ask Michael if he can make anymore noise? No reply! I tell him his father is sleeping and he needs to be quiet! No reply! It sounds like there is an elephant in the bowl cupboard, Ekk...Michael stop whatever you are doing, please!!

I then hear him behind me and turn to look and this is what I see...He has nabbed the LARGEST bowl we have and is dumping the WHOLE bag of potato chips into it, UGH!!

Are you going to eat all those chips Michael?

YEP!

Yikes!! What a challenge!! But I finally managed to finish my photos this evening and here they are....

Birthday Party Boy!!

Oh MY what a SUNDAY we had!

We had a birthday pool party at Aunt Diana's and Uncle Larry's for Michael's 5th Birthday and he had an absolute BLAST!!

Of course his birthday isn't until the 20th but due to some other happenings this month we had to have the party a bit early and it was a beautiful day for it!!

All of Michael's library friends showed up, thank you ladies for coming and bringing the kiddos! Then some of Michaels cousins showed up, a few of Mommy and Daddy's friends with their kiddos, and Michael's big brother Jeremy came too...So many kids (15 in all) and people made it all the better!!

Helen R. took photos and I am so thankful she did...as I was a bit to0 wet to handle the camera!

We had so much fun in the pool and it was so much fun watching all the children enjoy themselves!

We managed to get everyone out of the pool to enjoy cheeseburgers and hotdogs and then the Pinata! Michael tried his best to bust it open but he just wasn't strong enough. We let all the children have a turn and then finally...

Jordan had a shot and yes he did it...Busted that Pinata right open, YEA!!

Then Michael had his choice between cake and presents and of course you all know what a soon to be 5 yr old is going to want to do...OPEN presents!! He loved everything and I think was a bit over whelmed by all the fantastic gifts! Thank you everyone!

Then it was time for the cake, YEA!! Blow out the candles Michael and make a wish!

After cake we all headed back to the pool and swam until 5pm...Boy oh Boy what a day!! You would think after a day like that someone would take a nice long nap, NOT!! The minute we got home he was ready to go...So Fred and I took turns helping Michael to open his packages and playing with him and his toys!!

A giant Sucker from Grammie Criste and Grandpocka and it is Mmmm Mmmm good!! You have to love that cheesy grin!

Oh NO our home has been invaded by a Starship Trooper, Ekkk....

Then the Knight came and slayed the Starship trooper along with all the dragons in the house, Yikes!!

I'm not a party person and his last party was when he turned 1 yrs old and I am so glad I waited to have another one as I think it meant more to him!! I think the next one will be when he is 16, lol...
