Quick trip to Corpus...

~

We made a quick trip to Corpus Christi yesterday, Michael had a dentist appointment. He had one cavity, sigh! But she gave him a B+ on his tooth cleaning activities. He also has his 6 yr molars coming in and the dentist says that is a sign that he'll soon shed his baby teeth, boohoo...My little Man is growing UP!!

We also discussed his thumb sucking and I was given some stuff to put on his thumb nails...Yikes! So last night the fight began...He's driving me CRAZY! It's working and he hates the taste of it but in the meantime he is bouncing off the walls...and Bedtime...OH MY! That is a really tough time for both of us!! He can't seem to settle down or relax and I am a bit frazzled!! I'm sure we will get through this but keep us in your prayers! LOL...We need all the help we can get!!

After his dentist appointment he requested going over to the "Blue Ghost", which is the U.S.S. Lexington (Aircraft carrier). I told him we could go take a look but we were not boarding the ship! No problem, all he wanted to do was play on the guns at the entrance! I got some photos but honestly it was so HOT my heart was NOT into it...

~

He sure loves guns!!

I honestly believe he'd sit there all day playing if I let him!

Just love that smirk!

The Corpus Christi beach on the bay....

Running and chasing seagulls!

Michael is that little speck in the lower left...It's just amazing how HUGE these aircraft carriers are and this is a little one, YIKES!

That's it for the day!

I haven't a clue...

~
I haven't a clue as to how my story will end,
but that's okay
when you set out on a Journey and night covers the road,
that's when you discover the stars.
The above word-art was designed by K. Pertiet and when I saw it I loved it! I wasn't sure how I was going to use it but I liked it. So after taking the photo of my reflection in the viewing ball I had some ideas...I like the layout but feel it's missing something. Any Ideas?
~
I have been practicing extractions in PSE 7 and loving everything I am learning. It isn't easy and a bit time consuming but I love the end result!

El Torro.....

We fed Dad's cattle this weekend and I took the Rebel with the Macro lens and here are a few of the photos I took!

Another bull....

Here come the cows....They sure look like they are starving! (grin)

Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm Good!

Another little bull...he sure is handsome!
Not sure why Dad is hanging on to the bulls but they sure are nice looking! He got rid of the bull that tried to run over Michael and the brown bulls above are his offspring...I hope they have better personalities!

Now to get up close and personal....
I just love the colors of the Anole Lizards...Sweet!

I'm watching you!

I thought this turned out pretty Sweet!!
Me playing with the viewing balls in the yard!!
The wheels and cogs are turning in my head as I have an idea for a layout, lol...consider yourself forewarned! Now to find the time!
I have to say if someone asked me which one of my lenses I liked the most I think I would say the Macro...I had fun!

Organized Pudd'in!

Mom: (Listening to Michael opening the Fridge)
Mom: Michael what are you doing in the Fridge?
(Silence)
Mom: Michael?
Michael: I’m fixin the pudding!
Mom: Your doing what?
Michael: I am putting the white puddin on the top shelf and the chocolate puddin on the middle shelf.
Mom: Michael why are you doing that?
Michael: So Daddy knows where HIS chocolate pudding is.
Mom: (Chuckles)
Michael: Come see Mom the puddin is organized.
~
Everytime I think about this incident I chuckle...it was a conversation we had the other night. Michael is so afraid Daddy is going to forget that the white pudd'in is Michael's. Michael wanted to make sure he didn't!
After Michael was asleep I thought why not scrap it.
It's a memory and I had just downloaded the perfect scrapkit for it!!
I really love the whimsical side of life and there are some great kits out there for doing layouts like this...And with all that I am learning lately I can finally do the layouts that I like! YEA!!
This kit is called "Room Service" and is designed by FruitLoopSally (Sandra Edwards) and can be found at Catscrap.com
The little person and wordart was also designed by FruitLoopSally and is in a kit called "lizzy" and can also be found at CatScrap.com
Letters used for Puddin were designed by Lorilei Murphy

Lession 13 Collage - Michaels Kinder Graduation

This was my final lesson for the class I was taking at Jessica Sprague.
~
I enjoyed the free class and so glad I had the time to sit and actually do it, lol..
~
A collage of photos from Michael's Graduation & awards ceremony.
Then I decided to go a bit further and take the collage I had created and make a 12x12 layout...

The journaling reads:

Michael you are so loved and to see you scowling at your Kindergarten awards and graduation ceremony about ripped my heart out. I wasn’t sure what was wrong. Then when Mr. Carrol pointed you towards me so I could get your photo and you gave me that “There you are” look. I knew right then, you thought I was not there to watch you. But darling, like I told you later, I would do everything in my power to never miss something as important as this. I told you I would be there and I was. We are so PROUD of you and all your accomplishments during your Kindergarten year. Way to Go Michael, we LOVE you!
