Ouch and the "Wolf" Moon.

~
Fred smashed his finger today! They took x-rays and it was not only cut but broken too, OUCH! His first broken bone. He wasn’t too happy with the antibiotic shot, it hurt worse than the finger!
Thanks to Trey and his cellphone I got a photo of the painful injection...Goofy boy taking photos of his Dad getting a shot!
And you know me I just had to do a scrapbook layout of it!! Sorry but it's a memory and a first for Fred.

How well do you know your states?

I found this website this morning....it was pretty cool!
First time around I scored 88%, Avg error was 19 miles and it took me 457 seconds. Michael was helping, lol. I had the most the problems with the States in the East, didn't put them where they went exactly, ekk...
Good Luck and have fun!

Interesting...

I was reading my google blog reader this morning and ran into this article over at The daily digi blog...It sounds like it's going to be a very interesting journey in the world of scrapbooking. I can't wait for more post by Rachael...Check it out...

Digi Layout for San Antonio Trip

I had 30 some photos I wanted to use in a layout of our San Antonio trip, ugh!! I didn't have a clue as to how I was going to incorporate those into a layout and then I remembered a template I had and it worked perfectly!!

The journaling is about our trip...who, what, where and when. Which most of you have read here on the blog already....

Sunday - Nature walk

Sunday we went to visit Dad over to the ranch. I was able to go for a walk and it was gorgeous out. The wind was brisk and it was a bit chilly but the birds were singing. Spring is definitely in the air in South Texas.

Starting out....
I hadn't gone far when I saw a bunch of birds. There were birds fluttering all over the place. I happened to notice that one wasn't one I had seen in a long time...I saw them all the time when I lived in the North and I knew they were in Texas but hadn't been able to spot one, that is until now.

Cedar Waxwing.

He was up on a tree branch but flew down to a puddle in front of me, awesome!! The photos I took of the Cedar Waxwing up on the branch weren't the greatest. But he was so close to me when he came to drink I couldn't not get a clear shot, yes it's a butt shot but he's still beautiful.

Chipping Sparrow...They're all over the place and basically what I see the majority of the time.

Mockingbird and Texas's State Bird.

Coyote track...It's an old track so I didn't see the animal itself. There have actually been cougars spotted near the San Antonio river and I always keep my eye out for tracks.

Baby Blue-eyes, The wildflowers are coming out!!

The sky was soo blue and I love the Spanish moss hanging from the trees.

Song Sparrow...he was singing and it was beautiful!
~
And then my phone rang, ugh!! Time to go...I had walked all the way to the back of the ranch so I requested a ride, lol...My husband knows if he doesn't come get me it may be an hour before I make it up to the house, especially when I have a camera with me and just possibly he might love me enough to save me a long walk...
It was a beautiful day and I was so glad I got out for a bit. I love spring and hopefully soon I'll be able to get the Macro lens out and find some wildflowers!!
