Heavy Fog and Dew Droplets

This morning we had a heavy fog. On the way home from taking Michael to school I noticed the spider webs were drenched with dew...too cool.

I spotted this caterpillar still a wee bit damp.

Yikes and I thought my house was messy! LOL...This spider needs to do some major cleaning...
~
Well off to see what Kit is chasing through the house, ekk...Just hope it's not a scary critter...adios!

Hmmmm....

I found these on my memory card and they were taken this past week out in the pasture here at the house...a wee bit of Texas nature for y'all.

Prickly Pear Cacti are blooming

Are you Ready, Ready, Ready...

For a walk on the wild side?
~
This past weekend we went over to Mom and Dad's ranch on the San Antonio river and I was able to escape into the woods for a bit...With plenty of bug spray on too boot!!

Texas Emperor
These butterflies were all over the place...

Along with lots and lots of different types of caterpillars!

Another Texas Emporer with his wings open.

And another...

And a different caterpillar...

and another...

And here is yet another Emperor...

And even more caterpillars...

With lots of wildflowers here and there...this one is a false Dandelion.

Crescentspot

Dandelion fluff...one of my favorites from the day!

Crab spider, I think they are so cool looking but I do hate walking into their webs and I do it frequently on my walks, ugh! So who wants to go for a walk with me? lol.

And yet another Emperor...Every where you looked there was one!

False Dayflower

A BUG...an itty bitty BUG! Isn't he cute?

White-marked Tussock Moth caterpillar, isn't he gorgeous!

Okay I honestly don't mind caterpillars or bugs I just don't like it when they are climbing up my pant legs, ewww....This little guy was on the move and I was trying my best to hurry up and get a shot so I could brush him off, ekk!

The San Antonio River...

Bluet, love the contrast of the blue and the sand!

Damselfly, Dragonfly, Skimmer...not a clue it's not in my books! But still pretty sweet to watch!

One of my favorite shots of the day...he was on a dead tree above me, love the contrast of the green forest, blue skies and butterfly...I was having way too much fun with my camera!

This is a Blurb photo but I liked it...I knew when I took the shot I moved the camera and almost deleted it but decided to wait...Glad I waited, love the motion blur...Better hurry up Mr. Snail the world is zipping on by...

I was almost back to the ranch house when I spotted something moving in the trees...Sweet a Green Jay!
I heard and saw a lot of birds but with the darkness due to the thick canopy of trees along the river photos are really difficult. This was my attempt at the Green Jay and you see how dark it is, sigh! Wish I could share the sounds of the bird songs, love hearing them! I also left the house without water, not to smart. So it was a short walk but I really had fun!
I used the Sigma Telephoto 70-300mm lens today it's not easy going from Macro to Telephoto, ekk...
Hope y'all enjoyed the walk on the wildside. I hope to do this at least once a week...

The Family is expecting another little one...

Our Nephew, Andy and his fiance, Rubina are expecting a little one this Friday...well that's the due date but baby's come when they are ready. This past weekend Debbie and Diana had a baby shower for Rubina and here's just a few of the photos. The rest are on my flickr site if you'd like to see them...

My first maternity/baby belly photo....or perhaps it's a basketball, NOT!

She just glows and I love it!!

Andy, Rubina and Baby soon to be here!
Such a beautiful couple, love those smiles!

Mmmm Breakfast...

I awoke Saturday morning to my little MAN making me breakfast. He had the bacon frying before I finally got up to make sure he wasn't burning the house down. He did a fantastic job and did it all on his own, except for emptying the bacon grease out of the frying pan. Sheesh how I love him, he's so darn good to his Momma.

I have a Favor...

My girlfriend Jen Maddock has been ill and Friday evening ended up in the ICU. They found blood clots, it was a very scary moment for her and her family. She is now stable and re-cooperating and hopefully headed home soon...I've been praying for her and her family and was hoping y'all would also pray for her quick recovery.
I want my Jen back and laughing at my antics and if I was her neighbor she'd have 3 long stem red roses from my garden staring her in the face...Since that can't be done I did the next best thing, took a photo...Here's a rose Jen, now get some rest and get better....Big Huge Hugs (and roses) being sent your way :o)
If you'd like to go to her blog and leave her some prayers and love click below...
