Opps!!

This is what happens when a nature photographer doesn't have their camera ready...Always make sure your lens cap is off and your camera is turned on! I missed the shot and was none to happy with myself!!

We have Americans in need of HELP!!

I've been reading about devastating loss that ranchers in western South Dakota are struggling with after being hit by winter storm Atlas. There is no help for them but us!! Please click on the link below and read the blog post. There is a link in the blog where you can go to help. If you can't donate pray for them and pass the link on to others!! Let's help our fellow Americans!!

I've included the link where you can also read about the deadly storm and donate.

Today and this evenings photos...

I played with the camera for a little bit this afternoon...

This is what is eating the pumpkin leaves, this one and a hundred of it's kind!

I saw this strange moth with a pom pom on it's rear-end...and followed it around the garden. It finally stopped and I got down to get a photo and spotted this grasshopper watching it too, which made me laugh! It was a really strange Moth.

This is the best photo I could get of it...if you click on the photo it will bring it up larger. But the pom pom on it's rear-end was rotating round and round. I guess I should have taken a video of it, I wonder if it was laying eggs here and there?

Not sure what this beetle is but he was sure enjoying this piece of grass!

A blue bird pair were hunting bugs on a tree. The female was panting and sitting on a branch while the male continued to hunt!

He's so pretty! Blue bird hunting for bugs!

Uh Oh! She drown in the pool and I found her in the skimmer. I hate when that happens! Michael saw her and told me to do CPR, lol...Not going to work Michael!

A little closer view of her...I didn't know they had blue up by their mouths?

And just to prove not all my photos turn out...

But sometimes God blesses me with a great photo op!

This evening Michael and I went for a bike ride.

We rode to the creek to watch the turtles. Michael loves turtles and loves watching them!

Michael spotted her and started yelling Mom! Mom! It's a Sea turtle! LOL, no Michael it isn't a Sea turtle but she does have huge feet and they do look like flippers...A soft shell turtle!

My Boy!!

We are waiting on a Cold front to arrive. It's definitely bringing cooler weather but I'm beginning to wonder if we will get any rain!

Slow camera day...

We received a total of 3.5 inches of rain in the past 24 hours. Much needed rain. I went to see what was happening at the creek...

Along the creek trail...

Not flowing but the puddles are bigger!

Love the Zinnias!

Hummer chattering at me!

Jr. enjoying the day!

With another cold front coming in I decided to clean and enjoy the pool today. Won't be too many days left this year that I'll be able to do it!

Amen!

It rained...

It rained a lot!! At the house we got 2 and 6/10ths inches in less than an hour this morning!

I had gone to the property to drain some water out of the pool before it all started but I didn't beat the rain. I sat in the Jeep watching it come down, watched the water go up over the skimmers in the pool and watched the rain gauge fill up!

Watched the water fill up the low areas...definitely a flash flood! Thankfully I did manage to get some water drained out of the pool and made it home without incidence. The ditches were full and water was running down the road...

Once it stopped I had to laugh at the Chickens. They do not like walking around in the water/mud so they headed for the high spot, the fence!

And or the top of the yard gate...

It's been a wet Sunday but hopefully this will help get the creek flowing once again! Would love to do some kayaking and some fishing!
