Grammy got a few photos of Michael and I with Jake. We love him so much! Such a sweet puppy and so loving.
That was how we spent our morning. We then ran into town as Grammy needed to get a few items before she headed back to Michigan. On the way home we picked up a Pizza for dinner and spent a quiet evening at home. Honestly I don't think there is such a thing as a quiet evening in this house, LOL....

Grammys visit ~ Day # 4
We didn't have a very good day today. Mom and I were sitting out on the front porch talking this morning. I told her if Julie (my horse) lived 15 more years I would be happy but I am not ready to lose her now. Julie is 20 yrs old, she is old but not that old. Mom then said to me what is Julie doing? I looked up and said OH SHIT! She's choking! A horse is not able to vomit and when they get something caught in their throat they choke. It's not a pretty sight as fluid comes out of their nose and mouth and they are more or less gagging but can't regurgitate. I immediately ran out to her and started massaging her throat and yelled for Fred to call the vet. In December 2002 I almost lost Julie when she choked and aspirated. She was almost dead when I got her to the vet. Fred called the vet and she was not available. We tried 10 other vets in a 75 mile radius of us and no one was available. I was not Happy!! There was nothing I could do but pray. Finally my vet called, she was 3 hours out but headed in. She said she'd call me as soon as she got in the area. I had Fred get the trailer ready to go and we waited and waited. Julie seemed to stabilize and just stood in the yard. Finally the vet called and I loaded Julie and headed to the vets clinic. The vet tubed Julie, which consists of running a tube in her nostril down to her stomach. She didn't find a blockage which means Julie managed to finally pass it down her throat. Her throat was very irritated and she had aspirated into her lungs. The vet decided to keep her over night and start her on antibiotics. So Julie is staying the night at the vets tonight and I pray she'll be okay and there will be no complications. If she is fine in the morning she can come home, with me having to give her antibiotic shots for a week. I'm so thankful she made it and hope she will be okay come morning.
Not a very fun day as you can see. I'm glad my Mom was here to help out. She played with Michael and kept him busy. She helped me do laundry and get the house picked up. I am not the type of person who can just sit and wait but have to keep busy.
This evening I downloaded some music for Michael and video taped him dancing to it. The video came out sideways and no I was not holding the camera up on end. If anyone knows why it did this or how to rotate the video let me know. So everyone turn your head sideways and watch Michael dance. Helen this video is for Katie, LOL....
