In San Antonio...

I have a friend from Michigan coming to visit with us for a few days. We came to San Antonio to pick her up from the airport and spend a few days...Everyone needs to see the Alamo and the Riverwalk...Chris's flight was delayed so Michael and I went and wandered around for a bit and of course I played with my camera!

Meet Derby...sometimes I miss the carriage business and sometimes I don't...like when it is about 90 degrees outside...It wasn't 90 today though, in the 80's.

Sometimes you have to say OH POO!!

I went down to the pool with the intentions of taking a dip...It didn't happen! Storm popped up and there was thunder, sigh! I did take the camera with the Macro lens on it and managed a few photos before heading back to the house...

Boom Boom building up!

I don't need to buy a bouquet I have one growing, gorgeous!

Garden Orb spider nabbed a bee...too cool!

Dinner anyone?
~

This is why I took the Macro. I saw this bloom the other day and thought it was beautiful. The wind was not my friend tonight and I had a tough time getting a decent photo. I've found this in two wildflower books and each book gives it a different name. It is from the Evening Primrose Family and is called Scarlet Beeblossom or Scarlet Gaura

Sorry I've been a bit lapse here on my blog. I have company coming Friday and I am trying to get everything in order. I've been taking photos here and there just haven't had time to sit down and edit them or blog...Can't wait for our Company to come. I'll have plenty of photos then, yeah!
Hope y'all have a great rest of your week!

Cedar Waxwings

I absolutely love Cedar Waxwings. I use to see them in Michigan all the time in the winter and spring months. I honestly never knew they came this far South until I saw some in the tree next to the house a few weeks ago. I wasn't able to get a photo at that time and was so sad. This evening I was fix'in to mow and getting the mower ready when I heard a bird or should I say birds peeping...I ignored it at first and then it hit me, Hey those are Cedar Waxwings peeping. I looked up and there was a huge flock in the Pecan tree behind the house, Ohh so cool. I moved as fast as I could and got the camera and they were still there, yeah! In fact they stayed there for 15 minutes while I took numerous photos...I was so loving it!

A small part of the flock...too cool!
