11 more layouts to go and 2007 will be done...Yea!!

At night now Michael does NOT want Momma or Daddy reading to him but Grammy!!
I finally grabbed the camera and snapped some cute shots of them reading a book...That boy sure is loving having his Grammy here....Thanks Grammy!!

Tiny Bubbles ~ Digital layout

These photos were from November 2007.
Slowly but surely getting those layouts done. Today Ms. (Texas) Helen came over for a morning walk and lunch. In between the two she helped me with a digital layout. Helen doesn't scrap but she sure is good with her coordinating efforts...She (I think) got the colors spot on! I would throw stuff on the layout and she would say "Nay or Yea" and this is the finished product!!
Thank you so MUCH for helping me Helen!! Hope you like it, I do!
We had Zucchini Lasagna for lunch and it was delicious...so much so that I made a pig of myself, lol...I'm stuffed!! Thanks for coming over Helen, enjoyed your company!! And thanks for lunch too, lol...
Now if I could get this "Tiny bubbles" song out of my head...if someone hadn't sung it in my ear for an hour (j.k.)...lol....la la la...tiny bubbles....

Scrapbook (Paper) Layouts ~ January 2008

A few paper layouts that I did from our trip to Michigan in January 2008.

The above one I didn't scan but took a photo...it looks better in person!

A Little Macro Therapy!

I had a few moments this morning and have been watching the bees attack and empty my bird feeders the past few days...It is really annoying as they literally throw all the bird seed on the ground, wasteful if you ask me! I am thinking they are after the cracked corn...I wanted to see if I could get any decent photos of them, without getting stung!

I so wish the focus on the eyes would have been better...but love that upper wing and it also gives you an idea of just how much bird seed they've thrown on the ground too, ugh!!

Finally a focused eye...he is hugging a piece of seed.

Then the little hummer flew in to feed at the feeder and I thought well lets see what I can do with the Macro...I thought it was a pretty sweet shot of his head...I know there is some noise but I couldn't get real close to him so I had to crop the photo a bit, I love the little tufts of feathers around his eye. I am still stunned that the hummer is still here...This morning the temperature was 26 degrees F., pretty darn cold if you ask me....

Update on "King" (missing Collie).

This photo was taken in July 2008, King has grown and gotten a thicker coat since then.
King was spotted running along a highway about 5 miles from home in Palestine Texas.
The poor boy is still alone and has been missing since New Years. He is near the Tyler Texas area. I don't think I have to many people from that area read this blog but just in case I am posting this for a friend.

A Milestone reached....YEA!!!

Michael read his first book!!
I decided it was time to see if Michael could read "Go Dog Go"! I knew he knew most of the words in it and it was the first book I read! So I brought it out and for some silly reason Michael and I ended up on the hallway floor and he read the whole book to me!! I was so Proud of him!
He read most of it to Grammy the night before and last night he read it to Daddy too!!

I was just tickled that he was reading!

Here he is reading to Daddy last night!!

Another Milestone in Michael's life!!

I've been tagged...

Nancy has tagged me....
The idea is to list 6 (un)interesting things about yourself.
1. I could sit home 7 days a week and have no problems with it. (I hate going to town)
2. I would love not having any TV's in the house
3. During the week I get up at 5:30am to read the news on the internet.
4. I love watching wildlife and could do it for hours on end.
5. I love taking afternoon naps.
6. I can go for a walk in the woods and snap over 500 photos and not think twice about it, lol.
This was really hard as I see it my life is pretty uninteresting in itself, lol...
I'm tagging Kelly and Erin...Good Luck!
