I think I finally found a Veterinarian...

Julie, my horse, use to see the vet at least once a year. She had a check up and her teeth floated. She went more often if she got sick or something happened. I also had a stock trailer back then that was road safe. My stock trailer is no longer road safe and Julie thankfully has been healthy except for last fall when she had a bout of sand colic. Emergency vet house calls are outrageously priced but it's also hard to find a vet to do house calls. Julie needs her teeth floated (filed) to keep her healthy and chewing her food like she should. On facebook last week someone posted a Mobile vet that was having a special on teeth floating. I called and we set up an appointment for him to come out. Today was the day. His name is Dr. Hanselman and his wife works with him. They did an awesome job. I also talked to him about the heifer calves and he vaccinated them for me too! It was great meeting him and his wife. It is nice to know there is a another large animal vet in the area and he makes house calls.
His prices were reasonable too but him being mobile is awesome!!

He is out of Port Lavaca a little bit of a drive but not too bad. I hope we have a long future together and he and his wife stay in the area.

Beautiful colors around here...

Some of these I took over at Goliad State Park and some of them I took just outside our front door this evening...The bluebonnets just started popping up last week around here and I am loving it!

Totally and utterly disappointed that I didn't upload Minecraft to his laptop, Uh Oh! Love that he ended up outside for the evening and playing.

A whole lot of rain, Wow!

I've been absent from here and I apologize. We are in the process of finishing off the barn to live in it. I hired a friend of my families that lives here as a contractor and he is doing an awesome job getting everything lined up. Hopefully in 2 to 3 weeks we'll be living in our barndominium and I need to start calling it our house as that is what it will be from here on out! It is all so unreal and I sure wish my Mother was here to share it with us...I think she would be happy!

I did take a few photos here and there...and Today and yesterday we got 9 and 2/10ths inches of rain, Wow! I have seen 6 inches of rain but never 9+ it is awesome!

Spotted this dayflower with a fly on it the other day!

One of our Grandbabies was out the other day! We had fun with Julie. He was smiling and laughing. He loved riding her. I need to get her brushed out. I hope he comes back for some more horse time!

This was our dry creek bed early in the afternoon. So sweet to see water flowing in it.

This is Coleto Creek this evening right before dark. Our live creek that has been bone dry for 2 years. It was flowing last year for a couple of days when we got 3 inches of rain but within days it was dry again. Now with 9+ inches of rain it is really flowing. We hope it stays flowing this time and we continue to get rain from now on. Would be nice to do some fishing and Kayaking.

I've been finding bluebonnet blooms here and there. Soon the back pasture should be covered in blooms! Oh so pretty!

I will be back to share photos of the barndominium soon!!
