Early Morning Ice...

At 7am this morning I had a face in mine and it said "MOM everything outside is ice!"...Ekkk So much for sleeping in, sigh! I wasn't coherent and thought maybe he met we had an ice storm last night. So I jumped out of bed and looked out the window...It was a Frosty world outside and it was gorgeous...The sun was just coming up and with everything covered in frost it was going to be a good photo op...that is if I hurried up, lol...I'm not a morning person and I hate having to rush around first thing in the morning, ugh! But I did make it outside before the sun melted most of the frost...I took these photos with the Macro lens.

It's melting...Ekkkk

The frost was gone fairly quick this morning and then it got foggy. But later this afternoon the sun peaked out and it was a gorgeous day!

Time and Digital Layouts...

Two days and approx. 6 hrs total I managed to accomplish a few digital memories...Actually I was sitting at the Dealership getting a few things done to the truck and had time on my hands...Thank goodness for laptops and EHD's...It's amazing what you can accomplish when you have no Internet and you are not at home being interrupted every 5 minutes, lol...I'm also going to tell you right now I'm playing lazy...there will be no credits on these items...I just didn't feel like it, it takes a bit of time to keep track of everything...If you would like to read the journaling or take a closer look at the layout please click on the individual layout...If you want to know the credits of a certain layout or item leave me a message and I'll get right back with you...

This is one of my favorites...I love my Man!
~
Next week I'm headed back to the dealership so maybe I'll have time to do a few more...Thanks for stopping by!

Some more Signs of Spring...

When we went to see Dad Sunday I did manage to take a short walk to see what signs of spring I could find....

Okay not really a sign of spring but I loved the texture and design of this dead leaf...

Spring is here but it's hard to believe as yesterday (Weds, February 10 2010) I saw some snow as I passed through Victoria...it only lasted for about 5 minutes but still a shock this is South Texas...Today we had almost 2 inches of rain and with the ground being saturated we had some flooding too...I'm really hoping this is the last winter storm we have I'm in need of some warmth and sunshine :o)

Far-away Friends...

Saturday we had some visitors arrive, Yea!! Some of you may recognize them...Stan and Nancy Kita. I went to school with their boys and spent a lot of my young adult life helping Nancy around their farm...

Stan and Nancy were here a couple of years ago and I am so glad they came through for another visit...I sure do miss them and always love seeing them! We had a great visit and I can't wait for them to come back!

Visiting GrandPocka

Sunday we went to see Dad/Grandpocka. Upon our arrival I noticed the peach tree was in full bloom, gorgeous!

Spring is in the air...

I wanted him to pose but he looks like he is in pain, lol.

Love...a Grandson and Grandpa.

Friday Nature Walk...

I needed some photo therapy Friday and I also wanted to play with my Macro lens too...Practice makes perfect!

Okay so I didn't find this on my nature walk...It's actually a Hibiscus I have here in the house...I love this color and love the fact that it was a gift from my husband years ago...

Pencil Cactus or Christmas Cactus.

Painted Lady

The wildflowers are starting to pop up, they're tiny but they're there!

Southern Corydalis

Green winged Stonefly

Fungi

Small Bluet

Yellow Wood Sorrel

A little waterfall on our dry creek bed...we received 2 inches of rain the other night so the dry creek bed isn't dry!

This is a "Where's Waldo" photo...can you see what's in it?

This reminded me of a castle...The dirt had been washed away and left the stones on dirt turrets...I thought it was cool but maybe I'm hanging around Michael to much and my imagination is getting carried away :o)

Cow Skull

Oak tree...Love the branches snaking all over the place and of course the blue sky too!

Poison Crows foot with a fly.

Fungi...I love this stuff it looks so alien looking.
~
I enjoyed my walk and love the fact that spring is here and I'm starting to see the first signs in the pastures and woods!
