My husband loves me...

Even when he's at work on location he sees things and takes photos just for me...

Now if I could just get him to take the bug keeper and bring one home, lol...Actually I'm thankful he takes photos for me and he says he doesn't kill them, I hope he doesn't!

Ugh!!

Every evening at about 7pm Michael and I go swimming. But tonight I honestly thought we weren't going. I didn't want to walk in and just thought we'd stay home...Well at 8pm Michael asks me "aren't we going swimming tonight?", UGH! I told him the driveway was too muddy and we'd have to walk in and I thought that was the end of it...Nope! Here comes Michael with his swimshorts & rubber boots on and the lantern, sigh! Okay so we've pretty much been stuck home all day, so why not! I grabbed the tractor keys, just in case and off we went. It was almost dark but Michael didn't care...We got down to the driveway and it was pretty much dry so I told Michael here goes nothing and we got through all the way to the pool, yeah! I did notice my tires were pretty much coated in mud but I'd worry about that on the way out...time to enjoy the pool and the sunset!

I had to use the skimmer net because there were lots and lots of ants! I guess because of the rain they headed for higher ground which was the pool walls and then they fell in, who knows. There were so many, there were clumps of them where they had tried to keep from drowning.

Michael was enjoying himself but then a bunch of gnats flew in and were getting all over me and everything else. I told him enough, lets go! It's the first time I've ever had problems getting him out of the pool and of course I'm fighting off flying critters who seem to like me, ekk...I was actually worried about getting out without getting stuck. We slipped a little bit near the bridge but I managed to gun the truck and get out, yeah!

Definitely got to work on the driveway!

Playing Stupid...

All I have to say is if I didn't play stupid now and then my life would be very boring :o)

We received 2 & 7/10ths inches of rain last night. I woke up at 3am to hear rain hitting our windows and was just tickled!! Goodness knows we needed the rain!

I called Fred this morning when the rain stopped and told him what we got, he asked if I had checked on the pool yet. Nooo! Not yet but I was fix'in to go down there. (He told me do NOT drive in the driveway, sigh...which means I have to park at the road and walk in...) The driveway at the beginning is Black Gumbo and when it's wet it's sticky!

Looking good, other than the water level being a bit high! I back-flushed it to get the water down below the skimmers. I had put chemicals in last night and the levels were good this morning!

Now to show you what "Stupid" me did...I decided to try the driveway in the truck, Oops! (I know Fred told me NOT too but I just had to try) I made it to the bridge but that was it...Black Gumbo sucks!! I think I will be ordering some gravel in the next few weeks! I did grab the keys to the tractor before I left the house so that was a good thing. I went and got the tractor and pulled the truck out, not easy to do with no one to steer, grr...But I did it!

Yikes!! I'm in big trouble when Fred sees what I did, gulp!

Yep time to get some gravel brought out, should have done it sooner! But I'm un-stuck and home. Truck is cleaned off and when it's dry guess we'll be working on the driveway!

It could have been worse but I know when I'm stuck and no sense making a bigger mess. I did call and tell Fred, he yelled, then he started laughing and asked if I was going to do it again...Ahh No! I think I'll pass!

Hmmm reaching into a bunch of Mustang grapes isn't a good idea if you can't see what's in there...we aren't sure what stung her but it hurt and she swelled up, ugh!! She went on a diet of Benedryl and it was still swollen the next day!

Our Monday Adventure...

Then we went over to Mustang Island to the Gulf of Mexico and the Beach!

We didn't tell the kids we had the swim suits, towels and sunblock, Dawn and I were exhausted and just didn't have the energy to play at the beach...plus the wind was bad and the surf was rough! But they got to see it, lol...

Dawn and I decided we need a vacation without children!!
