The Good and The Bad...

The good thing today is I saw a Road Runner...The bad was the only camera I had was the point and shoot...

The good thing is I didn't cut it all the way off...lol...The bad is that fingers being pinched between two pieces of metal hurts like heck and bleeds a lot...

The good thing is that I found a young leopard frog in the flower bed at the house and he'll eat the spiders, the bad is if the chickens find him they'll think he's yummy...



It was a Hot but beautiful day today...Hope y'all are having a great weekend!

The sky this evening...

We had plenty of storms all around us this evening and a little bit of rain here at the house but not much...1/10th of an inch and 8 miles away they had 3 inches, sigh! We really could use some rain and more than 1/10th of an inch...

 The cloud formations were pretty neat...

 One of my favorite types of clouds, Mammatus clouds. I call them Popcorn clouds and think they are so cool looking...

We had a brief shower this morning, really brief...But any rain is welcome! It's so dry and the grass is brown and crunchy once again...

Invasion...

The past couple of weeks I've seen more scorpions in this house then I've seen in the past 7+ years, its nerve wracking to say the least...

This is one of many that I've killed...Thank goodness no one has been stung yet but it's just a matter of time...I've called the guy that sprays the house for us and he's suppose to be out but I haven't seen him yet and I'm getting frustrated!! One of the many critters we deal with and they are on the top of my list "of do NOT like"...Fire ants are right up there with them...

The last time I saw this many Scorpions was just before Hurricane Claudette hit (we were living in a different house), I wonder...

Evening at the Property...

I went down to the property this evening to do some work around the pool and as I started vacuuming the pool it started getting dark then I heard some thunder...

 Looks like a storm was building up right over the top of us...woohoo maybe it will rain?



 It didn't happen...The storm moved off to the West/NorthWest and someone somewhere got a brief shower...

 I still have a few wildflowers around the pool...

There is a story here, and it has to do with an old gopher underground run in the garden...I'm not too fond of gophers!!

I have no room on my kitchen counter...

And this is just from today...I suppose you don't need to ask what I had for dinner :o) I've also tried to explain to One-eyed joe that you are suppose to pick the cucumbers before they get as big as the Zucchini squash but he still hasn't figured that one out!! Anyone want some veggies?
