So much for getting any work done I kept seeing interesting things to take photos of...

I noticed the bees were swarming the pumpkin blossoms...too cool!

 

 

One of our giant pumpkins! Praying it grows bigger by Halloween or it might be a Thanksgiving pumpkin!

I sat down to drink some water and noticed the hummingbirds were swarming the feeders!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then I spotted this butterfly in the Wild morning glories.

 

As you can see I get distracted easily, lol...

I had a great morning and took so many photos!! I love days like today!

Hmmm, Not that Tree!!

 

I was moving game camera's, checking and cleaning memory cards and adding new batteries this morning. I grabbed a camera and headed over to this tree and as I walked up to the tree I spotted a Broad-banded Copperhead...Oh so sweet! I went back to the Jeep, grabbed the camera and the snake hook!

 

So pretty...

He's off to look for mice and other vermin!!

 

 

What a great morning so far and I still have more photos to share...I didn't get much work done, lol. And I found a different tree to hang the game camera on :)

At sunrise I was working at the property and had some of the boys come visit me...

 

I just plopped down in the driveway and starting snapping photos while watching them...

 

Of course they were watching me too!

 

And stomping at me! Stomp, Stomp, Stomp!!

 

Trying to figure out if I was a threat or not!

I really had fun watching them. They never did run off but just wandered off...

A bike ride and pretty sunset...

Well it was suppose to be a bike ride but someone was having problems with the hills tonight and he ended walking up the biggest one!

 

 

It wasn't a gorgeous sunset but still pretty!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Evening hike at Goliad State Park with Jenny...

 

Tonight I took Jenny with me as the temps are down in the mid 80's and she can handle it. I am loving some of the trails at the State Park just wish they were a little bit longer.

Are we seriously going up there??

 

One very happy dog, a bit hot but very happy to be out hiking with me again. And yes she wears a pack and carries her own water, plus a few other essentials (poop bags and collapsible water bowl).

 

I let her get ahead of me so I could snap a photo, but the majority of the time she stayed next to me and heeled and sat when I stopped. Just like she is suppose to do and it was nice. The last time I hiked with her she kept lunging ahead and it felt like she was going to pull my arm out of the socket. She's older now and calmer too. Of course she didn't have 3 kids in front of her either, she loves kids and wanted to walk with them and not me at that time!

 

Starting to get a little tired and she posed for me. She's also learned when I have the camera up and I'm shooting she is to stop and wait. I saw a red-tailed hawk and she stopped and waited for me to get the photo but the hawk didn't cooperate!

 

Such a pretty trail. We also found where they have bull dozed a new river trail and hiked that for a bit too. We didn't go far as the sun had set and it was getting dark. I had also ripped something in my bad foot once again, sigh! It was a nice hike and I'm hoping ice will help the foot so we can do some more hiking next week. I'm really proud of Jenny and how well she did. At the moment she is passed out in her bed snoring!!
