Malachi = Sunshine

~

Malachi you are such a sweetheart. Your smile brightens the world and brings so much sunshine into our lives. I got to see you at Christmas time and had so much fun taking photos of you! You’re such a Ham when it comes to the camera! You’re growing by leaps and bounds and will soon be a year old. Crawling wasn’t your thing, walking is and walk you did. All over the place! It was hard to keep up with you but I did and I love the photos I took. I pray God blesses you with a Happy Healthy Life. - Love Grandma W.

I was bored...

and didn't have any photos to post...So I decided to work on some layouts of the Grandbabies...These are from the photos I took on December 13, 2009....

I was a wee bit jealous as my friend Leah has a new baby girl and can scrap pink now after having 3 boys, lol...So I had to give it a go with Aubreigh. I think it's more fun with a granddaughter as I can have a wonderful photo shoot and cuddle then send her home with Mom and Dad :o)

And then we have sweet J.J. "Oh Boy!"

Christmas Photo Shoot

Over Thanksgiving break I had this bright idea of taking Michael over to the mall for some Christmas photos! He hates Santa so I didn't even try that, I'm not one of those parents that traumatizes their child. But the Victoria mall has some decorations and a HUGE green chair over near Santa that I knew would be sweet for a photo shoot. I had him pose at first and then I told him to just do what he wanted to do but stay in the chair and this is what I came up...

The Gap had some really cool advertisement photos up in their windows and I had this wild idea for photos and loved how they came out...

Michael enjoyed himself and I got some really great photos of him!
I used the Canon Rebel Xti, the 28-105 mm lens, and built in flash...I'm so wanting an external flash but this worked! I couldn't show these to you earlier as they were Christmas presents but it's a new year and Christmas is over with....

The Birds....

Mom was yelling at me to grab the camera and come outside....
This is what I found, thousands of black birds out in the pasture. We see them quiet often down here in huge flocks. Grackles, Starlings, Cowbirds, etc....

I would have rather grabbed the BB gun to spook them out of here but I took photo's instead. They wipe out my bird feeders in a matter of seconds when they arrive...
But what I remember when I see these flocks is a movie we used to watch as kids...I know my sister hated the movie and hates birds...
The Birds (1963) is a suspense film directed by Alfred Hitchcock based on the 1952 novella The Birds by Daphne du Maurier.
Sorry Karen but it is one of the memories I have and how scared you always were when we watched this movie...especially when we watched it in the dark with the lights off....Ewwwwwwww!
They are here Karen and they are waiting for you :o)
