Did you know...?
That if you squat in a puddle....
You get a wet behind!!!!
LOL....boys will be boys!!
And if you run through puddles...your boots fill up with water!!!
And that when you have to walk home with soaking wet clothes and boots on it's not much fun, unless you find a stream in the driveway that you can play in....LOL....He was soaked but I think we both had fun...him playing in the water and me taking photos....What else are you supposed to do when it keeps raining? Our walk today...
Michael checking out the flooded dry creekbed in our driveway...we had 1 1/2" + of rain since yesterday afternoon....
Michael looking for stuff...mainly rocks and pebbles.
Ahh Haa a pebble, See MOM!!
What is a puddle if you can't splash a bit!
Another puddle and more searching...I think there are roughly 20 puddles in the driveway and we had to stop at each one, lol....Thursday ~ Wildlife-Outdoorsy photos
Butterfly Pea, wildflower. I had never seen this flower before and missed on the walk to the road but saw it on our way back to the house. It was beautiful.
The old fat mare, lol, Julie!
We had to hurry home from our walk as the storm clouds were rolling in again...sigh!
Partridge Pea, wildflower.

Storytime ~ Cows & Critters
I walked out to feed Ebony this morning and one of the cows brought her newborn calf up. I couldn't resist a photo even though we were in a slight hurry to get to town, ekkk. Momma cow wasn't happy with me and tried to get the calf to move off with her but he had different ideas and laid down for a rest, lol.
This is the first calf born, he's about a month old and definitely looks like he has Brahma in him.
Above is the second calf born. His Mom and Aunt weren't to happy with me, even though I was behind the yard fence. They kept trying to hide him from me. He looks as though he could care less...typical male if you ask me....
When we came home and I was coming up to the dry creek bed (which isn't dry) in the driveway I saw this little darling. It was raining out but I just had to get a photo...it is NOT a water moccasin as I first thought but just a water snake. I'm not sure what type because on some of these the only way to find out is to study their belly bands and I am not getting any closer than what I was here...lol

Saturdays ~ Michael
Michael playing with grandpa's dogs.
Grandpaaka hooked up the riding mower to the wagon and talked Michael into going for a ride in the wagon...Michael wasn't real sure about it at first but then he started smiling and thought it was pretty neat...actually he wanted to ride the mower instead.

Michael posing for me...
Walking the path...
The guys were working on the water pump and Michael was playing boss man and I was told to either take him for a ride on the mule (4X4) or take him for a walk...Of course I chose the walk so I could stop along the way and take photos....We were 3/4's of the way to the back of the ranch when Michael had had enough of me and my photo taking so he turned around and headed back...I kept making him wait here and there along the path and he was getting a bit irritated with me, lol...by the time we got back to the guys they pretty much had the pump fixed...so it worked and I got some great photos!! Enjoy them and thank you for stopping in to look!
