Happy Thanksgiving

Here's hoping y'all are having a warm, sweet, peaceful Thanksgiving...

Michael and I are hanging out around home, watching movies and eating leftover pizza. I love my boy and feel so blessed to have him in my life!
He also tested positive for respiratory flu Tuesday and isn't suppose to be around other people for 48 hours after the fever is gone. He says he feels fine, he wants to go play with his friends, but no sir, this Mom is playing it safe and not infecting anyone else...
Just a little bump in the road, no big deal!

Missing my Mom!
Thinking about my sister as she works today!
Yes it is a Holiday for some of us but for others the work must go on, God Bless those people!

Be Thankful!

Dumping kids is not acceptable, take responsibility for your actions!!

This kind of hit home...This gentlemen as a young man got to know his Dad. Who he found out lived just around the corner from him and his Mom most of his life. But as soon as his Dad got a new girlfriend it wasn't convenient for the young man to be with his Dad, so he got shoved aside...It is amazing how parents push their kids aside when it comes to sex and or love...it's rather sad!! I think the world would be an amazing place if the parents woke up and devoted attention to their growing children and helped them establish themselves in the world before dumping them on others. Take responsibility for your actions!!

I can't post the photo or the original articles as it is not mine but I would love for y'all to see and read it. Above is the link on Facebook. I love seeing the photos and reading the stories behind the Humans of New York City!

If you are not on facebook here is the link for the blog. Click here Humans of NewYork

The photo I am discussing in this post has not been added to their blog yet but still interesting to see the photos and read the stories of all the other people.

Happy Thanksgiving to y'all

Palmetto State Park

On the way into the park from Hwy 183 is an overlook off of the Park road. I've always loved to stop there and take the view in...

The sun was a bit harsh....

 Yaupon holly, beautiful.

 Park Road

 To the river says Michael...

Always has to take the path less traveled...

A caterpillar Michael spotted, good eye Michael. It sure was pretty, it is a type of moth but not sure exactly what...

 Michael playing with a Millipede...

 More caterpillars...

He found the San Marcos river...

Paths to and from the low water crossing...

 One of the campgrounds...

 Blue skies and Autumn colors...

 San Marcos River

Bur Oak acorns...Huge and one of my favorites...

Oxbow Lake. Michael wants to bring the Kayaks and check out the fishing! I agree!

Another view from the overlook, zooming in on the tree canopy!

We had a great late afternoon checking out the State Park. I've been there several times but Michael was little and doesn't remember. We will definitely be going back to fish and swim!

Playing with the Sunset...

I was taking photos of the sunset, not to many clouds but still pretty. Then I just started playing around with Michael and different camera settings...

Sun is down but still an amazing sky

Different lens and still gorgeous colors, I loved the whispy clouds!

This evening

We were leaving Palmetto State Park...

I was at the lookout taking sunset photos when I told Michael go ahead and step into the frame...Something different when it comes to sunsets and I like it!

Busy weekend but we managed to sneak away late this afternoon to check out Palmetto State Park...I love short little road trips!
