I really want to share some of our NYC trip photos but I still haven't finished editing and re-sizing them, sigh...
While we were in NYC we did Good Morning America and it was the morning Brat Pitt was on the show...Michael was so excited, he got to see Brad Pitt and got a free t-shirt from the movie World War Z. A friend recorded the show and took this photo of Michael with her iphone, lol...Too cool! I was in the back holding up the sign with the heart...It says we love Goliad and Spring Texas! We had a great time and even though I'm not in to the rich and famous movie stars (they are people just like you and me) it was neat to see Brad Pitt in person. He was really nice and took time to shake hands and talk to people.

This below is what is keeping me busy...With temps in the 100's lately I've been busy with the garden, really busy!
Our cucumbers, squash and melon patch in the back.
Melon patch...watermelons and cantaloupe
5 watermelons in this photo...
Cantaloupe, one of many! (too many if you ask me)
A few of the tomato plants!
I've been canning tomatoes and canning and canning! My life at the moment is spent at the garden watering, picking, cleaning veggies and canning, and canning and canning some more, lol...I finished canning beans before we went to NYC. I have a row of beans that is still producing but I'm eating those right now or giving them away to Fred's daughter who loves them. The tomatoes are going full tilt at the moment and I'm trying to can as many as I can...
Friday evening we dug up the potatoes, it was time! The plants had died and the gopher and or gophers decided they liked them...So before they ate more than they needed too, we dug one row up! They haven't found the other row yet but hopefully we'll get those dug up before he does! Gophers are a pain! I love our potatoes and plan on canning those too. We don't have a root cellar to keep them in so canning is the solution to the problem! So at the moment I am in the process of canning tomatoes and potatoes, ARGH!! I know it will be worth it when we are eating them this winter, yummy!
Fred has his first weekend off in 2 months so we are going to enjoy spending the weekend with him. We really do miss him! Hope y'all have a great weekend too!
