O' Christmas tree...

The Christmas tree elves never showed up so I had to take it upon myself to put the tree up...

Okay Tree is up...maybe a'natural would be cool this year, NOT!

All done...3 hours later and Michael said it was beautiful and gave me a hug...Guess I did a good job if I meet his approval. I even caught Fred in the kitchen humming Christmas carols...Love it! The Christmas spirit seems to slowly be coming to our house :o)

Fred's Birthday ~ December 8th

I'm not Martha Stewart or Pioneer Woman but I can put together a chocolate on chocolate cake in an hour when needed, lol...

Yesterday was my husband's Birthday!

He was going to be out of town, so he told me earlier in the day. But then at 3pm he calls and says he's on his way in and we (Michael and I) can meet him in town for his birthday dinner, Yeah!

But oh no I didn't make him a cake, ekk! Everyone deserves a cake on their birthday so I went on a rampage to get the cake baked and frosted, while trying to get Michael to do his homework and pick up the house all at the same time...

I managed to get it all done and even managed to clean up, throw some make-up on and decent clothes too and meet him on time in town for dinner, yeah!!

Just call me Super Woman, ha ha ha, NOt!

I love him and I think he had a pretty good birthday...that is except for the transmission going out on his truck just before he arrived in Victoria, uh oh! Glad it's a work truck and not ours to worry about getting fixed...

It was all good in the end!

School Christmas Program - 2010

Tonight was Michael's School Christmas program...it was too cute!

After 30 plus photos he finally looked at me, yeah!

We had front row seats as during the fall festival auction we won the bid for 8 front row seats...I am so glad as it was the perfect spot for photos!

They put on a great show and we really enjoyed it!

Saturday - Christmas Party - Night out

~

Saturday night we went to a party put on by Fred's co-worker Debbie and her husband David.

They did a wonderful job of decorating and so glad the cold front held off until midnight. It was in the high 70's low 80's and really nice out. There was food, dancing and even door prizes, so much fun for all. Oh and did I mention Margarita's, lol...I had a few and possibly a few too many. We left Michael with grandpa and grandma and really enjoyed ourselves.

Above they're dancing and playing a game called "washers".

We had a really great time and it was so nice to get out and enjoy the Holiday season!

Gotta love Christmas time in South Texas!

I so miss Julie and I taking the carriage out at Christmas and the jingle bells. I told Fred I was going to harness her up and put jingle bells on her and just drive her down the driveway on foot...He thinks I'm nuts, lol...feeling a bit nostalgia I guess.

After all those beautiful floats and here comes a mud truck with Santa. The kids were a bit disappointed and didn't even see Santa until we pointed him out.

It was a nice parade and we sat with most of the family to watch it. Glad it's only about 60 entry's as the kids had had enough and were bored, tired and ready to go...The perfect size parade for us...Merry Christmas Everyone. The season has officially begun for us!
