Yummy...

I am not of Hispanic/Southern Ute descent as my husband is...Over the past 12 years I have learned a lot when it comes to cooking Mexican-Tex/mex food (Thank you Mom in Law) but I'm lazy. I like things simple and easy. I do know how to cook refried beans from scratch but it's such a long drawn out process I hate doing it and my husband gripes a lot at the canned beans I buy, lol (I told you I was lazy)
...Last time I was in HEB I saw this package of Refried Beans and thought hmmm lets try it...Wow! They were good! You can season to taste too, love that.
Fred even thought I'd made them from scratch this time! I see the company even sells packages of their beans on Amazon, it's for the ones who do not live in Texas!

I'm not Hispanic either but am south Texan where the mexican food flows. I remember my Mama learning to make enchiladas when I was in the second grade. Humm so good and she helped a neighbor make tamales once and that is a lot of work.

Those look good and I'm with Fred, the canned beans just don't cut it. I just may have to give those a try!
